It can be alarming to notice small round balls on your  sheets or  mattress. Many people immediately worry about insects or pests. But in most cases, the explanation is much simpler and harmless.

Here are the most common reasons they appear:

1. Fabric or Lint Balls
Small fiber balls from sheets, blankets, or clothing can form due to normal fabric wear and friction. They’re harmless and easy to remove.

2. Dust Mite D.r σppings
Dust mites are microscopic, but their waste can appear as tiny light-colored particles in bedding. Regular washing and cleaning usually solves the issue.

3. Food Crumbs
If you sometimes eat in bed, crumbs from snacks can easily collect in sheets or mattress corners.
